Sonoma Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART) CP4 System

The project goal is to provide internal document collaboration platform. Contractor Package 4 application which is implemented under existing SMART organizational SharePoint 2010 production environment. External users have access via existing CISCO reverse proxy device. SMART will create external user accounts in the internal AD to provision access for General Contractor.

•Check Request Process - The finance department issues a check for the vendors for those don’t have any purchase order or invoice receipts. Those kinds of requests have to go through the approval process to check the contracts on file before issuing the check. Any Kyphon employees can request for a check. Automated this check request process to improve the traceability.

•Pre-Clearance Process - In accordance with Kyphon Inc.’s Insider Trading Policy, all the Kyphon insider employees are subject to pre-clearance with Kyphon’s Chief Compliance Officer. The Pre-Clearance Form Process application will automate this manual process of submitting the pre-clearance form and getting the approval from Chief Compliance Officer if the employee contemplating a trade in Kyphon stock with email alerts which will be exchanged between the employee and Chief Compliance Officer.

•New Hire process - Kyphon hires new employees in all the departments. Information Technology department at Kyphon, Sunnyvale sets up the hardware and software for the new employee depending on the hiring manager’s request. The New Hire Setup Process application will automate this manual process of new hire setup with email alerts which will be exchanged between the hiring manager of the new employee and Information Technology department.

•Termination Process - Kyphon terminates employees in all the departments. Information Technology department at Kyphon, Sunnyvale disables Active Directory account and other software application accounts for the terminated employee within 48 hours. The Employee Termination Process application will automate this manual process of termination process of IT with email alerts which will be exchanged between the terminated employee manager, Shipping and Information Technology departments.

•ESPP - Kyphon Employees have an opportunity to purchase Common Stock through accumulated payroll deductions. Employee Stock Purchase Plan enrolment form is used to specify the percentage of the payroll deduction. The Employee Stock Purchase Plan Enrolment Process application will automate this manual process of submitting this form with email alerts which will be exchanged between the new employee and Finance departments. This application was developed in .Net.
