Was hired to manage assets related to a closure. Also was
hired to manage a move from Aurora to Broomfield. This
project was in the final phase of implementation. Duties
were: Remedy user support, Active directory, asset and
contract management using Access, licensing audits using
SMS, managing database structure, backup of servers,
Server rebuild using Dell Open Manage, Raid configuration,
User application installations, PC and Laptop repairs, Server
upgrades, and system manager. Also had to design a
Server room using Microsoft Project.

Contracted to install PGP encryption software. This required Ghosting the users image to a server and then
encrypting the drives for security. Also adding new administrative passwords and Lo Jack software.

Contracted for deployment of new desktops and laptops. This required backing up old computers and complete
installation of new replacement computers. As new computers were brought on-line, administering each user and
rejoining the domain was required. Then restoring their profiles and data.

• Performed failure analysis on hard drives. Performed base-lining using all most recent released PC’s.
Performed computer upgrades. Used laminar flow and microscopic failure analysis.
Created macros to automate inputting test commands. This resulted in 90% less time spent inputting test
commands.
Converted the failure analysis database from Paradox to MS-Access Ver. 2.0, which is a network application.
This saved time by enabling data to be accessed from the network instead of transferring to/from floppies.

Acquired knowledge of microprocessors, Xylinks, ASICS, and hybrids to better troubleshoot and repair

Participated in design, which shipped a buffered high-speed disk drive under budget.
Developed and administered a LAN-based system, which established a plant-wide communication link to
other LAN’s. This was also used to develop a paperless communication system. Installed, maintained, and
administered 21 workstations for the department.

software. Responsible for a 25% product cost savings and reduced test time from 2 weeks to 7 days.
