Developed a new hazardous waste management program for (3) manufacturing facilities. Program involved managing process generated and recovered ground water (i.e. oil / halogenated solvent wastes).
Coordinated the installation of a “Dual High Vacuum Extraction” groundwater/wastewater treatment system to remove oil and halogenated solvents from contaminated soils beneath the facility in Clinton, Massachusetts.
Instituted and completed formal facility EHS audits for three (3) facilities. Developed project lists and capital budget programs to include toxic use reduction efforts, savings in company liability and workmen’s compensation.

Responsible for overall management, daily operation and maintenance of a DEP/EPA approved 50 gpm industrial wastewater treatment system which included chrome reduction, acid/alkali neutralization, heavy metals precipitation, sand filtration and sludge dewatering equipment (i.e. filter press, sludge thickener).
Gained working knowledge of federal, state and local environmental regulations such as hazardous waste management, RCRA/SARA Title III reporting, Toxics Use Reduction (TURA), Clean Air Act, Clean Water/Pretreatment regulations and storm water reporting.
