Personal statement

I have MSc Degree in Hydraulic Engineering from Mekelle University and BSc Degree in Irrigation and Water Resources Engineering from Hawassa University. I am experienced WASH Engineer having over seven years of expertise both in development and emergency sectors. My experience ranges from small scale rural water and sanitation projects to complex urban water supply projects at regional and field levels including working with government and private sector, communities and Civil Society Organisations. I am particularly skilled in study, design, construction supervision, and proposal preparation for water supply, sanitation, irrigation and infrastructure projects as well as capacity building in both developmental and emergency situations.

I also have extensive experience in managing planning, design, implementation, construction and contract management, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of integrated WASH, and Water Resources Development projects in different organisations including Tigray water works study design

& supervision Enterprise, Relief Society of Tigray (REST), International Rescue Committee (IRC) and now at Netherlands Development Organization .

• Coordinate, supervise and provide technical inputs to all aspects of construction and maintenance works of WASH projects being implemented by the consortium in Tigray region;
