IR PROXIMITY MOTOR CONTROL USING PIC MICROCONTROLLER A stepper motor is provided for azimuth and altitude rotation. A CCD camera will capture a particular celestial body towards which the telescope is pointed, the feedback system will try to keep track of it as the earth keeps rotating. An end user has to just provide the name of any celestial body and can enjoy the live streaming on their video window.

We designed and built a system that uses an infrared proximity sensor for input, the system correlates that input to how far away an object is from the sensor and then drives a motor and 8 LEDs at distinct speeds depending upon the proximity of the object.
