Recruited by management to champion HSE efforts while significant organizational and cultural changes were going on in lieu of the ABB buyout. These corporate efforts were presented as edicts to staff thoroughly and countered by follow-up efforts by tracking to ensure completion.

Hired to establish HSE polices & procedures for newly leased property as well as coordinate compliance & regulatory permitting as well as reporting mandates related to State of Tennessee, Environmental Protection Agency, and the PHMSA Division of United States Department of Transportation.

• Develop and implement safety as well as environmental training programs in compliance with state, federal, local, and internal requirements.

• Successfully reduced Hazardous Waste Generator Status from Large Quantity to Small Quantity via gap analysis.

REC SILICON SOLAR GRADE – MOSES LAKE, WASHINGTON

Producer of low-grade silicon for solar industry, silane gas (SiH4) for etching, and high grade filaments for software companies such as Microsoft.

PHOENIX RESOURCE MANAGEMENT – GREENWOOD, INDIANA

Site Environmental Manager – (Cookeville, Tennessee contract) 2005-2007

Recruited to establish environmental & safety management systems for site as well as oversee recycling & fluid management efforts. Successfully interfaced with corporate, local top management, labor union, green belt engineers, and R&D to completion of all efforts.

Collaborated efforts in working with cross functional team in obtaining ISO 14001/18001 (Environmental/Safety) Registrar Certification with only two minor non-conformances.

Established and met cost savings of $50,000 plus the first year by transitioning new hazardous waste vendor, Title V Air reporting, recycling efforts, waste minimization and fluid management.
