At Johnson Controls from 1998 - 2001, worked as EDA Librarian, created schematic and foot print symbols for Cadence Allegro System.

At Johnson Controls from 2001 - 2014, was senior PCB layout designer, used Cadence Allegro Design, Mentor Graphic Expedition and AutoCAD to accomplished many automotive PCB designs, such as Homelinks (Universal Garage Door Opener), Over Head Lighting, Cluster Instrumental Displays, Hand Free Telematics, Telematics Control Unit, and Head Up Display.

Responsibilities:

Feasibility study of PCB layout designs.

Completion of PCB layout and release full packages of design documents to PCB FAB and ASM.

Layout new and modified existing rigid and flex PCB layouts.

Managed and verification out sourcing PCB design layouts.

Worked with Hardware, SI/PI/EMC, mechanical and manufacturing engineers to accomplish PCB designs.

Leading Package Releases, included DRC, DFM checklist, Gerber data, fabrication and assembly drawings.

Library management, create schematic and footprint symbols.

Tools: Mentor Graphic Expedition, Cadence Allegro, AutoCAD and MS Office.

PCB layouts: rigid and flex multi-layers, very high density, mixed SMD and through hole parts, high pin count full grid BGA 0.80 mm pitch. Experienced PCB layout involved with DDR3, Bluetooth, RGB, USB, LVDS, complexity power integrity with multiple switching power supplies. Design and customize shields for EMC. With deep knowledge of DFM, my PCB designs can be built at any suppliers.
