Led accounting department for a $20m major live music venue, including three music rooms, two restaurants, a private membership club, retail outlet, special events and a not-for-profit foundation (including HOB Dallas venue for five of these months). Areas of coverage: P&L, balance sheet, cash flows and all other regulatory requirements. Responsibilities included all fiscal period close processes, financial reporting, financial systems maintenance, internal controls and regulatory compliance procedures, tax reporting, and integration of all corporate controllership initiatives. Managed accounting team towards efficient and value-added processes, interacted effectively with all levels of the organization and coordinated with management and corporate executives to streamline practices across board.

2012-2014 Accounting Manager, Landry’s, Inc.

Managed accounting office supporting both day-to-day operations and month-end processes for several concepts including a theme park and over a dozen restaurants nationwide totaling in excess of $30m annually. Focused on new concept for Landry's, and created or tailored established processes from the ground up. Took on an extremely fast-paced, hands-on role resulting in the need for quick decision-making and finding solutions.

2010-2012 Accountant, Del Papa Distributing Co., Inc. Responsible for handling all accounting processes for subsidiary fleet company, in addition to supporting the parent distributor with annual revenues in excess of $200m. Focus relied on cash management, asset maintenance, billing/collections, payroll and fixed assets. Learned importance in working for a company that valued training and emphasizing automated systems. Saw first-hand how technology improves processes, especially with inventory.

2005-2010 Accountant, Baron Financial + Consulting Worked with numerous businesses with their accounting, financials, marketing and consulting needs. Client types included hospitality, country club, property owners associations and non-profits. Gained knowledge of threats and opportunities and ways to preempt and mitigate threats, as well as acknowledging and exploiting opportunities to increase revenues and decrease expenditures.
