Position: Clinical Laboratory Technologist
Confers with medical personnel, coordinates laboratory operations with medical staff requirements and plans, and responsible for technical clinical laboratory programs.
Assume responsibility of all policies, standard operational reviews and safety relating to health. Supervises and train new employees. I am involved with quality control procedures, interpretation of all results and data.
Execute and analyze test areas including hematology, clinical biochemistry, bacteriology, serology, mycology and parasitology. I perform both bacteriological and parasitic analyses of specimens for suspected communicable diseases such as typhoid, paratyphoid, tuberculosis, malaria, and syphilis. I perform urinalysis, microscopy, culture and sensitivity of biological specimens such as urine, stool, blood, cerebrospinal fluid and other body fluids. I do special research work and I am well informed on current development in clinical laboratory field. I perform trouble shooting and maintenance of laboratory equipment. I work with Vitek2 for the identification and sensitivity of bacteria. I work with GeneXpert for MRSA and group B streptococcus. I perform DNA probe analysis of causative agents of vaginitis, namely Candida species, Gardnerella vaginalis, and Trichomonas vaginalis. I give attention to details. I maintain high quality performance and timely completion of laboratory tests. I have excellent interpersonal skill. I am a good team player. I am highly skilled in clinical assay, clinical microbiology, laboratory equipment and calibration. Laboratory ethics and safety, quality control, laboratory testing, reporting and tests result validity verification.

Position: Laboratory Technologist/Program manager in multi study assessment of anti malaria drug resistance in Sierra Leone.
