The main objective of the Common Platform project is Forms data Processing by data capture. Forms such as the images from US scan centers or customers are scanned and uploaded in Lason India FTP Server as Batches. The batches containing the .tiff files are compressed and splitted by various processes. The Presentation screens for the Keying Application is developed in Lason which has the image on the top and the keying portion at the bottom. It helps the user to key in the data’s on seeing the images at the top. All the keying applications are done in Business Associate Site and once again the files are sent to Lason Site. Finally, the files are compressed as Batch.txt file which is shipped to US with the entire key in data’s.

Project Trainee:

The prime objective of ISRO has been to develop space technology and its application to various national tasks. Since 1969, when it was set up, ISRO has established space systems like the INSAT for telecommunication, television broadcasting and meteorological services, and the Indian Remote Sensing Satellites (IRS) for resources monitoring and management. ISRO has also developed the satellite launch vehicles PSLV and GSLV to place these satellites in the required orbits.

Responsibilities:

Developed GUI for obtaining data from the satellite using swing in Java. The status of the satellite can be obtained by telemetry, telecommand and tracking. It is being developed as a part of the proposed web based GEOSCHEMACS (Geostationary Spacecraft Health Monitoring and Control Software).

The software subsystem is an applet run to give the telemetry data status for different types of archived files, which is the volume file and the index file.

The index file provides the current updated duration of 30days which has been configured .The volume file which provide the data for the given start time and end time.

Telemetry is the one which determines the distance of a satellite; Telecommand is which determines the temperature of the satellite and through tracking the path of the satellite is obtained

This project has been done for the satellite INSAT-2E
