COMMUNITY HEALTH NETWORK-
Indianapolis,IN
November 2018-September 2022
Telecommunications Specialist/
Safety and Security Dispatcher and
Surveillance Monitor
In this position I was a dispatcher for
the Community Hospital Network
Police Department officers and the
security officers alike. This service
was provided remotely for 5 separate
hospitals in different locations in the
state and included surveillance
camera monitoring for these facilities
and the many off sites buildings such
as doctor’s offices and surgery
centers. Specialists are responsible for
answering and responding in proper 10
code language to incoming radio
traffic from officers and incoming
phone calls simultaneously from
hospital staff. The duties ranged from
a staff member requesting a door
unlock to interacting with outside
police agencies and informing officers
of possible incoming gunshot victims,
or preparing the ER to take custody of
a prisoner from an outside agency that
needs medical attention. While on
duty, I was also responsible for
monitoring the mainframe of the fire/
smoke/air quality system in each
hospital tasked with immediately
reporting any alarms in orderly fashion
to the facility in all required ways
including officer radio, messages via
software, and overhead speakers to all
in the facility. I was also responsible
for the morgue log of each facility,
ensuring proper release and
admittance of remains.
This position sharpened and perfected
skills of communication, multi tasking,
note addition to software necessary
for record keeping if a situation
became a legal matter,
professionalism, HIPAA compliance,
prioritization, and creating an eye for
detail that has saved many potential
dangerous situations from becoming
reality.
CONCENTRIX- Daleville, IN
September 2016- November 2018
Aetna Representative/ Team Leader
and Trainer for the Aetna Medicare
Part D Plan
In this time I was a team lead and
trainer at Concentrix on their Aetna
Medicare Part C account. I was hired
in September of 2016 in the original
class to launch this account at the
Indiana site. Within 8 months, I was
promoted to trainer in addition to team
lead. I then began the process of
recruiting 70 new employees, and
became certified through both
Concentrix and Aetna to train their
required 8 week training classes.
During the trainings of processes and
procedures I also completed with each
class QUEST certification, a unique
detailed customer service program
with understanding and human
interaction in mind. Once training was
completed, the agents then went to
the floor and I became a team lead
along with others for a total of 6
teams. Team lead responsibilities
included maintaining metrics of both
teams and individuals, employee
interactions and retention, coaching
and encouragement of my agents’
performance. Real time adherence
software and incoming call volume is
constantly monitored. I am responsible
for the decision making processes of
staffing in high volume intervals.
COVANCE LABORATORIES-
Greenfield, IN
March 2014- September 2016
Patient Assistance Program Advocate
At Covance, I was a member of a team
of representatives that supported a
new medication when it hit the market
in 2014. Upon release of a second
medication for the same affliction, a
large team was brought in, and I
trained approximately 25 agents to
effectively assist patients with their
medication inquiries. In addition to the
patient inquiries, I also processed
applications and provided assistance
in prior authorization procedures in
coordination with the patient’s
insurance and medical providers.
I left Covance only due to driving
distance and the opportunity to assist
the launching of the Aetna account at
Concentrix.
MERIDIAN HEALTH SERVICES
May 2013-March 2014
Behavioral Services Case Manager
At Meridian Health Services, I was a
case manager for mentally ill and
challenged individuals. My
responsibilities included assisting
them in life activities and ensuring
their compliance with federal housing,
food, and health insurance programs.
As case manager it was my
responsibility to complete all
applications for rent assistance, HUD,
and Medicare and Medicaid programs.
In addition to the activities directly
involved with my clients, I also had the
responsibility of accurately and
truthfully documenting our
interactions in a database that bills for
all services with the state and federal
government.
I left Meridian only for lack of
adequate compensation for this
position and pursued a more
financially rewarding opportunity at
Covance.
