Project Manager / Chief Designer
As Project Manager/Chief Designer, I identify target markets, develop sales, prepare quotes, design tools, purchase materials and manage the production team. I work directly with customers for quotes, design approval, checking part data to see if any modifications should be made so it can be manufactured properly. I also make timing charts for customers and assist the shop foreman while projects are in process. My responsibilities also include oversight of in-house manufacturing of prototype parts to meet customer specifications and follow up with installations at customer facilities. (Travel is required 20 percent of the time.)
Selected Accomplishments/Projects:
• Designed the largest RTM tool for Dodge Automotive Corporation on the Viper program to contain eighteen components in a single tool.
• Automotive Interior Examples: Headliners, Door Panels, Package Trays, Visors, Trunk Trim, Seat Backs, Heat Shields, sound barriers and various reinforcement parts.
• Automotive Exterior Examples: Tonneau Covers, Convertible Boot Covers, Bed Liners, Hoods, Trunks, Front and Rear Quarter Panels, Running Boards or GOR Parts, Battery Covers For Electric Cars and Mounting Brackets. Both "A" & "B" Class Parts.
