● Manage a team of high-level employees responsible for utility regulatory compliance throughout the state of Arizona.
● Provide oversight of the management of waste from Service Centers located across the state. Waste programs included RCRA and Universal waste.
● Provide oversight of the management of construction project permitting. Program permitting activities included 401/404, SWPPP, Dust, SPCC, Phase 1, and NESHAP.
● Train new Project Managers on construction project permitting.
● Primary training instructor for Poly-Chlorinated Biphenyls. Develop new training modules for on-line PCB training and assessments. 2006 – 2019 Palo Verde Generating Station

● Flagged Environmental Section Leader. Involved in all features of Environmental Leadership including directing, counseling, and motivating a highly engaged permitting and compliance team.
● Leadership responsibilities include oversight of CAA, RCRA, EPCRA, SDWA, DOT, and Spill Response programs.
● Responsible for maintaining constructive relationship building with regulators through meetings and Point of Contact for inspections. Provide several PVGS tours per year to the regulatory staff.
● Negotiate Air Quality permit conditions with Maricopa County to lessen PVGS compliance burdens.
● Diplomatically reduced NOV fines to PVGS by relying on long established rapport with our regulator.
● Environmental Department outreach liaison to several large ongoing capital construction projects at Palo Verde. Maintain close relationships with project leaders to insure site wide environmental compliance.
● Deliver environmental presentations to various PVGS departments and tailored those presentations to the knowledge level of each group.
● Hiring Leader for new Environmental Scientist position.
● Environmental Air programs manager at PVGS. Responsible for Palo Verde Non-Title V compliance with all air quality environmental regulations.
● Establish as a PVGS Site Specialist for Chemical Control/Storage and handling requirements. Project managed the chemical control program.
● Certified Hazardous Material Manager certification. Hazardous Waste Emergency Coordinator for PVGS during hazardous spill emergencies. Developed drills with site Fire Dept. for HazMat response.

Senior Process Chemist – Water Resources/Site Chemistry
● Act as flagged Team Leader to manage other chemists when Team Leader was offsite.
● Responsible for the training of other chemists on plant processes for laboratory instrumentation. Major processes include: Cold Lime Softening, Filtration Techniques, Reverse Osmosis, Demineralizer Chemistry/Regeneration, Cooling Tower Operation and Water Treatment Chemistry.
● In charge of purchasing chemistry instrumentation such as Inductively Coupled Plasma Spectrophotometry as well as simpler instruments that included automated multiple titration station.
● Develop techniques and procedures for new laboratory processes.
● Supported the Teachers Energy Workshop and other groups by providing tours of the Water Reclamation (Resources) Facility.
