Responsible for the management of technical operations. Manages daily operations and support of technology, matures operational processes, addresses customer support issues, leads and recommends solutions and capacity plans, develops and supports IT systems and procedures that align with the organizational mission and strategic direction.

Provides leadership of the team that supports the IT infrastructure and applications, including but not limited to the network, servers, databases, virtual desktop/shared desktop, VoIP/Telephony, meeting and collaboration technology, security, and disaster recovery.

Senior leadership role in Research Facilities & Engineering Support Services (RF&ESS) Contract reporting to Program Manager & responsible for all core technologies supporting major projects like Solar Eclipse, Mission to Mars, International Space Station, & multiple classified projects.

Managed 64 employees providing database administration, web/application development, UNIX/Windows administration, flight simulation systems, security plans, desktop support, help desk support, physical security, video, photo, and graphics for NASA AFRC customers.

Implemented data center redesign and relocation after flood disaster at telecom building. Rewired premises for telecom/power. Replaced MDF and IDF configuration and equipment at new location.

Researched and helped design backup services migration from on-site to cloud.

Expanded data center power/cooling capacity to accommodate additional load due to disaster.

Managed Multi-Media coverage of August 2017’s solar eclipse event which reached viewership in the millions worldwide. All on-line and broadcast TV footage & photos provided by our teams.

Managed the merger of 2 heterogeneous cable networks’ technology infrastructures.

Redesigned data center configuration after acquisition to accommodate new infrastructure communication between NYC satellite and LA headquarters. Coordinated migration of all existing and new equipment from existing MDF to new location. Managed purchase and installation of new communication lines and upgrade of fiber infrastructure.

Redesigned HVAC configuration in headquarters data center adding redundancy and automated shutdown procedures to remediate city fire dept. false alarms that affected power to A/C units.

Managed the search, evaluation, and selection of new cloud based ERP system environment from offerings by Oracle, NetSuite, MS Dynamics, & Epicore.

Managed migration of existing Epicor on-premise ERP to cloud based Epicor after final ERP selection made.
