PA STUDENT CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

Thesis

Examined and compared evidence for oral probiotic therapy in gravid woman and in infancy to prevent the development of atopic dermatitis in children. Probiotics are safe and less expensive than prescription medications. Certain species of probiotic therapy with proved to be effective in preventing atopic disease if taken for at least 6 months. Further research required for dosing. Poster session with colleagues in March 2020.
