CAREER HIGHLIGHTS AND ACHIEVEMENTS
Implemented new policies based on Sigma and Lean team findings that changed business model and subsequently directed work management system agency wide. Evaluated plant that had high overhead burden, no business processes, and had lost 34% market share over previous two years and (-$214K) during the past fiscal year. Impact: Plant generated first year profit of 18K and a second-year profit of $237K, gross revenue grew from $2.2MM to $4.1MM and promoted to GM to install into five other plants.
Produced two books to educate and mentor global team on the methods to acquire and implement business-based maintenance meeting. Executive Management desired to grow service business to compliment the 18-product line business. Drafted the preface, outlined needed chapters/ordered, and wrote first two manuals for sales design and implementation. Impact: Published book in three languages that facilitated training on four continents.
Defined areas for substantial growth from a network and background of sound business practice principles. Company was profitable to date but had no capital to conduct new product line R&D or advertisement. Impact: Sold and implemented two successful projects that generated $2.45MM and approximately 31% profit to enable company to hire five new resources for new business model and offer computer based interactive video training on Equipment, People, Process and Materials.
Executed corporate standards with a marketing plan that was presented to the President and Executive Steering committee. Due to Sarbanes regulations expertise was needed to open doors with appropriate corporate standards. Business required an investment of $3.5MM and current business level was less than $1MM. Strategic plan was approved, presented, and rolled out to all major oil sand customers. Impact: The plant business level grew from nine employees to 31 and had contracts pending to grow to 140 technicians when company sold the business groups. EBIT increased $2.4MM.
Created a standard business model for company to consult and offer standard business solutions favorable to both buyer and seller internationally. Financial Impact was loss of EBIT growth in market share was estimated to exceed $10BB. Personally, led and conducted five business assessments and then trained key team members in Africa, Colombia, Mexico, China and USA.
