SUCCESS HIGHLIGHTS

Network Reconfiguration Project

Saved $3.3M in an internet connection project by renegotiating contracts with all three

providers. This included design of a new data center, reduced rental costs and increased IT security.

Work Order Ticketing Application Replacement Project

Led a project which increased field technician work process efficiency by 25%. We reduced their

time submitting on-line documents with state-of-the-art communications and significantly reduced software costs.

Windows Operating System Upgrade Project

This was the most complex project I led as it involved upgrading and/or replacing over 39,000

laptops, desktops and virtual machines used by anyone employed by a Fortune 500 corporation. That included all employees and agents U.S.-wide and all off-shore developers in India, Germany and Australia. By meeting with and working with all department managers, developing detailed plans and detailed schedules, we completed the project on schedule with miniscule impact to the users and no impact to business operations.

Web-Application Security Upgrade Project

Implemented a major security upgrade of all application-to-application communications and

eliminated certain vulnerabilities to hackers. I was brought in because the previous

project went past deadline and removed major scope that my project completed. I implemented strong project controls, solved major roadblocks and completed the project on schedule. This corporation’s web applications were no longer vulnerable to these types of web hacks.

Electrical Substations Automation Project

Saved a large Midwest electric utility over $1.2M by implementing a substation automation project. This involved network design and installation of 1,500 intelligent devices. Savings were achieved through remote monitoring and managing of substations. As well, customer response times improved by 15% as technicians were able to remotely make adjustments and restore customer electricity from a centralized office.

Banking Regulatory Compliance Project

Saved a Fortune 500 financial institution millions of dollars in fines ahead of a Federal

audit. My team rigorously investigated all IT applications against PII, AML, BSA and KYC regulations. 11 major non-compliance issues were identified. I then met with executives and application owners to inform them of those issues, show them where they were found in the code and gain their buy-in to immediately address them. All were remediated prior to the audit, avoiding any possible fines.
