NMR Operations (August 2019 to present)
This position requires organizational, technical and clerical skills to manage the samples of several chemistry-based laboratory classes. It also required close communication with the supervisor and general lab management and maintenance. The main responsibility associated with this position was preparing and running samples for analysis via nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) to generate spectra that indicate the structure of products synthesized.

Organic Chemistry Lab Teaching Assistant (August 2019 to December 2019) The Organic Chemistry Laboratory Teaching Assistant is responsible for monitoring about 20 students per lab session and providing assistance and correction of any laboratory techniques including reflux, vacuum filtration, distillation, and several other procedures. The TA should also be proficient in operating machinery to generate IR and NMR spectra. Finally, sufficient knowledge of pertinent formulas to determine theoretical yield, percent yield, and other scientific parameters is required. As an Intern in the Nathan Schnaper Intern Program (NSIP), students served on teams under a principal investigator conducting research in various disciplines converging upon cancer.
