8 Years was spent on labor and delivery providing care for both mother and infant by monitoring fetal heart tracings internally and externally. Providing cervical exams. Monitoring progression of labor and assisting in the labor process. Making sure both mom and infant transition safely. Care also included antepartum care with magnesium administration as well as triaging patients. 2 years was spent in the operating room . (when covid is not exacerbated). Assisted at the Women’s shelter for a short period of time. Career Ladders
Completed 3 career ladders. One at Forsyth involving the newborn algorithm for glucose management. An- other one involving training on glucose and technique for obtaining blood from heel sticks. The last career ladder was skin to skin after delivery. Postponing interventions until bonding occurred. The last two were done at Lexington Medical Center.
