MITSUBISHI UFJ SECURITIES, New York, NY (May, 2011-June, 2012)

Executive Director/Rates Trading

Profitably applied a dual approach of risk positioning and shorter-term yield curve arbitrage. Risk positioning includes option strategies focused on directionality, volatility and rolldown/carry. Yield curve arbitrage includes capturing anomalies along the Treasury yield curve, utilizing the cycles apparent in the regular auction calendar combined with an assessment of relative value along the yield curve. The combined approach produced positive risk-adjusted returns with low volatility (+8% return on capital as of 6/8/12). Overall portfolio risk assumption was rising when this job position was suddenly eliminated in a broad corporate restructuring following the arrival of a new CEO.
