The concern was with DRG optimization and of there were conflicts and it was here that I learned to maintain a balance. It was a huge ( 1,000 bed) teaching hospital and I worked closely with residents and the attendings and here my main accomplishment was educating physicians concerning correct coding practices, keeping AR down and avoiding fraud.
