To whom it may concern:

It is with great enthusiasm that I am applying for a nurse practitioner position at your organization. I graduated from the University of South Florida College of Nursing, where I successfully completed and, as of August 04, 2018, have been awarded both a master’s degree (MSN) in the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-ACNP) Program and the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program. I passed the AG-ACNP certification examination on February 2, 2018. I have also obtained my Florida state ARNP license and I am ready to start work as soon as possible.

Currently, I am working as a critical care nurse on a unit specializing in the care of patients with cardiological diseases and in the care of patients undergoing cardiac catheterization at Florida Hospital Orlando. I worked as a cardiac nurse for the past 5 years, which has prepared me well for AGACNP position. My clinical rotations and observational experiences provided me with extensive opportunities to familiarize myself with patient care in the Florida Hospital system. Each semester of 2017 and the spring and summer semesters of 2018, I worked with Dr. Irtza Sharif, MD, pulmonologist and intensivist at Florida Hospital Celebration Health. I saw patients in the ICU, PACU, PCU, medical-telemetry, and medical-surgical units. I was able to observe and assist Dr. Sharif in performing bronchoscopies, bronchial thermoplasties, endobronchial ultrasounds, chest tube placements, thoracenteses, and central line placements. I work well with all members of the healthcare team, interacting in a collegiate manner, sometimes assuming a position of leadership, while also readily willing to follow others with whom I work. After learning a new skill, I perform it with ease, avoiding any inappropriate shortcuts. I know that my skills and collegial attitude will contribute substance to any organization or practice in which I am employed.

Enclosed is my resume, which I eagerly anticipate reviewing with you at your soonest convenience. If you wish to contact me, please do so at or by cellular phone at 407-***-****. I appreciate your time and consideration.

Best regards,

Steven Wick
