Project Overview:

Oracle Retail Demonstration Services: We use to provide demo environments to the North America, Middle East and Japan pre-sales, and Oracle sales team to showcase Oracle Retail Xstore, Point-of-Service, Retail Merchandising and Oracle Retail planning apps. We had encapsulated all the Retail apps in one environment that helps pre-sales and sales team to demo the apps to the customer based on which Multi Million deals use to get finalized for Oracle Retail.

Roles and Responsibilities:

● In the role of a Senior Software Engineer I was responsible to implement and integrate Oracle Retail Solutions which helped clients achieve high performance in the following areas:

o Retail Planning

o Merchandising Management

o Stores and Retail point of service.

o Oracle Retail Order Broker (OROB)

Project Overview

The project involved build and deployment of code, managing the code versioning of the same in the Clear Case repository, creating branches for parallel development as well as performing merges after every release. The following 3 systems were handled as part of this project: 1. CTMT (Channel Technology Mid tier): CTMT is the umbrella term used to refer to those J2EE based applications which act as a middle tier between the front ends and the downstream systems. Few of the major applications included under CTMT were:

a) Card Solutions: It’s a Struts based J2EE web application used to present credit card and line of credit offers to the existing and new customers of the bank.

b) Online Deposit Account Opening (ODAO): This application is used by the Bank of America customers to apply for a checking account from the Bank’s website (

c) Safe Send: Using the Safe Send application, existing Bank of America customers can transfer money to Mexico.

2. KTC (Know the Customer): KTC is the system where all the personal information (such as name, SSN, address etc) and the account related information for all the bank’s customers are stored. The system is built on J2EE architecture composing of a user interface called as “Process Bar”, a middle tier which contains the business logic and the mainframe database where the actual data is stored.

3. UDE (Universal Decision Engine): UDE is the decision system where all the credit related assessment happens. To illustrate, a request for a credit card would be passed on from the front end systems to UDE where the decision happens and the result is passed back to the front end. Roles and Responsibilities:
