Branch Manager

I am a current branch manager for the Byron bank in Poplar Grove. I open all accounts (CD’S, IRA’S, CHECKING, SAVINGS and BUISNESS ACCOUNTS) I also take care of day to day operations of the branch with the help of my 3 other team members. I take care of all the dormant/inactive accounts for Byron bank as well. I do run a teller station on a daily basis. I also did budget planning with my clients and help them rebuild their credit in several ways. I opened the branch and closed the branch as well helped with teller line duties. I was involved in many different community events and worked closely with my team mates.


AVP Branch Manager

July 7/2012-February 20/2015

I managed a staff of 14 people at this location which included 2 locations. I was responsible to make sure all day to day operations of the branch were followed for audit and compliance expectations. I maintained a team that followed our brand of a promise of ease and confidence and helped our customers have the best experience with the best customer service we could give. I did all coaching of my team members for all levels with the assistance of my management team that consisted of a teller supervisor and assistant manager. I led the success of our investment strategy and business banking strategy as well. I was a major part of our branches business banking goals and did all small business loans of 500,000.00 or less. I worked closely with all my business lines of partners (Mortgage, Investment, commercial and private client group relationship managers). I went out and did regular business banking calling to grow our business banking in loans and deposit growth. I closely monitored my PNL and growth of my branch in all areas. I did many community events was involved with the chamber and area schools and many organizations. I was part of or led many projects within my market and was very successful at it.

I worked at several locations with my career at Amcore Bank and I in most recent time managed 2 different branches. I did investments here in life insurance and annuities as a licensed personal banker until I became a branch manager. I ran teller lines with all the day to day operations and opened all consumer and business accounts. I did loans all of all kinds and sat on the Belvidere chamber board at the time I ran the Belvidere branches. I did outbound calling and sales as well. I did many hours of business development and was honored for my community involvement and was given a grant which I presented to the Harlem High School for the consumer education department. I was recognized by my leaders for my sales on a personal level and branch growth. I learned allot about business banking here and commercial loans. I was promoted 5 times here in my over 10 years here. I did start working with mortgage loans some as well here too.

In this position I did many of the same things above in my other positions accept here I worked in the IN-Store banking environment with 7 day a week banking? It was a very fast paced environment which I really liked as well. I did allot of marketing here and walked in the store and did sales with talking over PA systems making fun marketing ideas and helping us grow in the IN-Store market. I was promoted 3 times here in this company from a teller when I first started to my last position of branch manager.



I had a GPA of a 3.0 I took many classes in finance/accounting. I Graduated in 1992.


I have shared my many talents and recognition with you on my resume and I worked very hard to get them and be successful at my positions as well. I have very good communication skills and like to talk to in groups of people I enjoy doing presentations and leading meetings at work and in companies for business.


I have had over 15 years of leadership and have been very successful in it. I maintain a strong communication with my team and work closely with each one on their goals and helping each one grow in their career. I take pride in my leadership skills and gaining trust from my team to hold myself accountable to their expectations as a good leader.
