Title: Scientists and Sharing on Twitter

Overview: Crowdsourcing information from researchers on Twitter. Targeting novices on twitter by sending small snippets of scientific information pertaining to research papers. Encourage Micro Learning and improve Scientific Collaborations of novices with researchers

Crowdsourcing and Social Computing are the source areas

Technologies used are Python scripts and Tweepy package to create online twitter bots that use Twitters REST API to READ, WRITE and MODIFY Twitter information from Twitter databases (in JSON/XML)

Title: Efficient Lossless Image Compression

Developed an efficient method to compress a medical image (MRI, CT etc.) using MATLAB. The new type of reversible compression method involves preservation of important data and performing modification only on redundant data with noise. The compression method yields a compression ratio higher than regular reversibly compressed image

The method proposed is applied and verified on several types of medical images

Title: Arithmetic Processor for Finite Field

Overview:

Coded using the Hardware Description Language ‘Verilog’ and programming of ‘Field Programmable Gate Array’ (FPGA) using Verilog. Programmed the FPGA to function as an Arithmetic Processor that runs in the Finite Field
