identify issues and trends within product families. This was accomplished

Cabka St. Louis, Hazelwood, MO (August 2007 to May 2008)
Title: Quality Manager
Basic Function: Cabka is a start-up operation that makes plastic pallets.
These pallets are used to carry and store materials and performs like a
standard wooden pallet. These pallets are durable and environmentally
friendly as they can be ground up and re-used to make more pallets. My
main function at this facility was to institute a Quality Management System
and subsequently apply for ISO 9001. We achieved this goal over a four
month period. I was also involved in safety coordination and development
of procedures for the entire plant.
Specific Duties:
Develop and maintain the Quality Management System and perform
internal quality audits.
Review finished product for defects and provide first piece
inspections.
Obtain data in areas of first time quality, scrap, and rework.
Subsequently chart and post this information at key areas of the facility.
GDX Automotive, New Haven, MO (July 2006 to August 2007)
Title: Quality Engineer
Basic Function: GDX is a maker of sealing systems for the automotive
industry. Extruded rubber is used to eliminate moisture and wind noise on
the exterior of the vehicle. I joined a cross-functional team that was
developing nineteen part numbers to be used on the new GM vehicle platform
called the GMT 966/8. The three vehicles on this platform are the GMC
Acadia, Saturn Outlook, and the Buick Enclave. These parts were developed,
tested, and then brought to the GM prototype facility for evaluation. This
process required many trips to the Detroit test facility as well as the
final preparation at the new Lansing Delta Township facility in Michigan.
This was a successful and seamless launch and the popularity of these
vehicles is evident by how many are on the road today.
Specific Duties:
Produce all documentation for a launch program including control
plans, PFMEAs, process flow diagrams, and work instructions.
Act as liaison for the New Haven facility to the gage provider, tool
developer, and GM Assembly Plant.
Develop prototype data and samples as the GMT 966/8 Program is
launched to the customer assembly plant.
Innertech Automotive, Nashville, IL (February 2004 to July 2006)
Title: Quality Engineer
Basic Function: Began at this facility as a customer liaison for the Ford
Assembly Plant in Kansas City. Innertech provides a majority of interior
content for the Ford Escape & Mazda Tribute. Our facility in Nashville
shoots 1000 ton to 4000 ton plastic injection mold presses and does
numerous assembly operations which include the use of robotics. In June of
2004, I was moved to a Project Engineering status as we were awarded the
GMT 900 Program (Interior garnish for the full size GM SUV's). I was part
of a team that developed tooling, gages, secondary equipment, and
documentation to support the 2007 model year launch of this program.
Specific Duties:
Maintain and update open issues lists, develop pre-launch
documentation, and provide updates to GM corporate management.
Act as liaison for the Nashville facility to the gage provider, tool
developer, and GM Assembly Plants.
Develop prototype data and samples as the GMT 900 Program is launched
to the customer assembly plants.
Sintering Technologies, Inc., Greensburg, IN (October 2002 to September
2003)
Title: Quality Engineer
Basic Function: Duties at this facility include customer support,
promoting prevention measures on the assembly lines within the
manufacturing floor, and developing countermeasures when customer concerns
arise. Travel to customer facilities to troubleshoot issues and support
new launches.

S-R Products, Farmington, MO (May 2001 to October 2002)
Title: Quality Engineer
Basic Function: I was part of a support team as this plant was in a start-
up mode. I handled many facets of quality and manufacturing, as I was the
back-up supervisor. I developed customer documentation, traveled to
customer assembly plants for initial launch from this facility. Also, our
team was in a continuous improvement mode as we searched for ways to become
more efficient, productive, with zero defects, and a constant emphasize on
safety.

Heartland Automotive, Greencastle, IN (September 2000 to March 2001)
Title: Senior Quality Assurance Manager
Basic Function: Oversee the work of twenty employees in a high volume,
tier one supplier of automotive components. Instituted defect prevention
techniques such as SPC and process auditing to define and eliminate
internal and external failures. Also, leading a steering committee to
update Quality Management System to ISO 9000-2000.
Specific Duties:
Provide reports and analysis to senior executives in areas of PPM,
budgetary items, and the reduction of overtime and absenteeism.
Lead committees in the areas of ISO 9000 & ISO 140001.
Grote Industries, LLC, Madison, IN (November 1995 to August 2000)
Title: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
Basic Function: I led this facility to QS-9000 registration from 1996 to
1997 as the QS-9000 Coordinator. I was the reliability engineer in 1998,
overseeing three employees and setting policy for the warranty program. My
final two years, I was the advance quality planning engineer responsible
for the OEM customers in this facility.
Specific Duties:
Develop a Quality Management System and have it registered to the QS-
9000 standard.
Provide PPAP information to customers as required with all support
documentation including capability studies, control plans, and FMEA's.
Thomson International, Newberry, SC (July 1989 to May 1995)
Title: Quality Assurance Engineer
Basic Function: Provide all facets of Customer Based activity in the areas
of sample submissions, product launches, warranty review, and interaction
with Customer facilities on concerns. Along with advance quality planning,
I was in charge of the receiving inspection area that reviews all
components that are to be used within this facility. I spent my first
three years with this company in the area of Supplier Quality and the last
three years as the Advance Quality Planning Engineer.
