Lead Generator/Call Center Representative

I was hired as a part time call center representative to work on several call campaigns in which my customer service and phone experience was a vital role in my work at Dunlap Marketing. I was to ensure each call was provided with customer service. I was hired for a campaign called Grubhub.com, where we would call specific restaurants to obtain menu’s for the restaurant and generate surveys for the Grubhub website which specializes in food delivery, menu’s and online ordering.

Houston Transformer Company, LTD. 6/2010-6/2011

Receptionist/Personnel Coordinator

As the Receptionist of Houston Transformer Company, my primary role was initially to be the first person of contact when a customer or client walked into the office. My general office duties included answering the company phone and transferring calls, filing employee documents to ensure organization in the company, filing the engineer files each week, running errands to the post office and bank to make deposits.

After 3 months, I was promoted to the HR personnel coordinator, my responsibilities also included adjusting employee’s time and submitting payroll each week, organizing and generating employee’s paid time off, submitting new hire paperwork and setting employee’s up for health benefits and 401K, generating a weekly indicator report for the president which indicated our weekly sales, AP/AR reports and the other information for a weekly meeting with the supervisors. Also, I handled several AP accounts in which I had to enter invoices in an orderly time and run checks to be processed for payment, in addition I had to enter deposits and reconcile with the AR department. In addition, I had miscellaneous duties such as generating new files and making labels, submitting review evaluations to the operations manager and submitting new pay rates for employees, submitting new memos. The many responsibilities I had required multi-tasking throughout the day, to ensure that all my job duties were fulfilled each day.

Community Representative

As a Community Representative, the duties that are preformed include preparing and distributing the weekly inventory, which are confirmed by the builder’s in the Telfair Community, and in effect developing relationships with the builders in the Telfair Community. Also included is the continuous updating of the inventory homes in the company computer program (Pivotal) and updating the website each week.

The duties also include general office work such as answering the company phone, keeping the files organized and running smoothly, helping visitors learn information on the master-planned community by giving presentations and answering any related questions.

In addition to the listed duties, as a community representative my duties also include realtor relations, through the personal relationships that are developed attribute to the increasing number of homes sold in the community.

Through my time working in human resources, I offered myself as a volunteer to the purchasing team with filing purchase orders and found a real interest in being promoted to a buyer.

I was promoted to be an expeditor and buyer for items that were essential for the development of the growth of the company; parts such as wire, nuts, bolts, screws, and expense items for within the company. I would create purchase orders, fax orders to be confirmed for the entire purchasing team and confirm the orders.

I worked with the engineering team and the QA inspectors and vendors to alleviate any parts that were rejected or that failed quality inspection. My role contributed to maintaining the quality of the parts that we received from our respected vendors.

Full Time Human Resource Assistant

I was expected to have my three month contract employee evaluation with the human resource manager and controller, Shirley Potter, who recommended me to be promoted to a full time employee with a raise, benefits, health insurance and an official title- Human Resource Assistant- which carried much more responsibility and expectations of my growth in the company as a contributing employee. My primary role was an assistant to help human resources and accounts payable, with a number of diverse projects and daily tasks which consisted filing paid invoices from accounts payable and receivable, filing check stubs to be organized per each customer and/or vendor, and keeping the files and documents organized.

Other miscellaneous tasks, which I performed throughout my contract job duties were often trips to the bank, dropping off mail, buying stamps, distributing the appropriate mail to each colleague, and posting memo’s which affected the company as a whole. Some of my daily duties which I was assigned to were filing, collecting and distributing the mail to each employee and filing certificates of compliance for the manufacturing managers to be able to access in an efficient filing system, as well as many tasks that contributed to the growth of the company.
