M/S Varivattichal Enterprises : I joined as engineer trainee and was senior engineer during

completion 1991 - 2000, we used to manufacture Press tools,

Progressive press tools, deep draw tools, moulds etc.

M/STooling Center : I joined as senior engineer and was Assistant Manager Tool

Coimbatore Room during completion ( 2000 - 2011 ) We used to manufacture

Press tools, Progressive press tools, deep draw tools moulds,wax

moulds .

M/S Bimetal Bearings Ltd . : I joined as Deputy manager Tool Room & PED on 01.05.2012, we

Coimbatore manufacture thin walled engine bearings and supply to all the car

majors in India & abroad ( Hundai, Maruthi, Tata Motors,Harley

davson Wallace etc., I am still employed here

Summary of activity in M/S Tooling Center & in M/S Varivattichal Enterprises

Design & manufacture of the following tools :

Press tools : Blanking tools, Piercing tools, Stamping tools, Coining tools,

Scissoring tools, Shaving tools, Cupping tools, Extrusion tools, Letter punching Tool,

Curling tools, Restrick / Calibration tools

Forming tools - Development of intermediate stage for complicated forming operations.

Bending Tools - Blank development for multiple bend component

Deep Draw Tools - Blank development,calculation of noof stages required for the draw

operation calculation of the tonnage required, setting of the dies for trials

Progressive press tools – Lay out to complete design

Progressive draw tools. - – Lay out to complete design

Also have knowledge in the design & manufacture of Plastic moulds, pressure die casting,

wax injection moulds, rubber moulds,Blow moulds,Bakelite moulds, drill jigs, milling

fixtures, welding fixtures, Inspection gauges, etc.

complex engineering drawings for manufacturing and set right controls on critical

dimensions, tolerance and fits.

Complete design of all the above mentioned tools with bill of materials . Design of all the

above tools using AUTOCAD ( Expert), also have proficiency in MS Office, MS Office

Excel, MS office power point, Paint, Internet usage etc.

Managing, providing techniques in manufacturing and supervising lead toolmakers.

Managing shift production supervisors, process technicians, manufacturing Technicians,

Machinists for all the above mentioned machines, managing Engineers.

Have managed a tool room with CAD Designers and 3D modelers of 16 members

Experience with raw materials ( Through knowledge of the various type of raw material

required for tool manufacture and through knowledge of their heat treatment process ),

production processes, quality control, cost estimation of all the various tools/dies

Very well experienced in the production of sheet metal components using both ferrous &

non ferrous raw Material, deep draw of stainless, aluminum, brass components,

knowledge of the various type of Lubrication used in deep draw, Coatings to be used to

enhance die life. Experience in setup of dies on power presses and hydraulic presses,

advice to tool makers while conducting trials, troubleshooting during tool trials,

qualification of parts FAI (First Article Inspection) until PPAP (Piece Part Approval

Process) successful completion of tool trials.
