Dear Prospective Employer,
I recently initiated an aggressive job search campaign. As a new graduate in Civil Engineering from Western Kentucky University jointly with the University of Kentucky, I am interested in the entry-level position with your company. My foundation of technical expertise stems from a hands on development and leadership background from an accredited university, along with project management and implementation experience.
As mix design captain for the 2011 WKU Concrete Canoe Team, I portrayed many qualities of a leader. Accepting the position for the mix design captain of our canoe was an intimidating and strenuous role, but was a very rewarding task. Our team incorporated many sustainable practices and strived to achieve a nationally competitive product. As a member of the 2010 Ohio Valley ASCE Environmental Competition, my colleague and I co-captained and designed a water treatment system for Manganese. We placed top three in both competitions.
If your firm currently has a need for a thorough and insightful Civil Engineer with a solid performance track, I would be interested in speaking with you to discuss the value that my strengths and experience can bring to your company. I can be reached in confidence at the above telephone number and email address, and I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely yours,
Justin Eade
