My roles as a social worker at Harare Central Hospital included: 1: Providing counselling to both in and out patients of all ages. 2: Conducting educational campaigns in communities mainly about mental health 3: Advocating for social justice both around the hospital and in surrounding communities 4: Assessing client's social wellbeing which include parent and care giver assessments,financial stability assessment,home assessments and psycho-social assessments 5: Escorting discharged patients to their homesteads for safe arrivals. 6: Engage in relative searches for destitutes and clients brought in by the police and also the Department of Social Development. 7: Linking clients who have social and economical needs with required resources. 8: Preparing departmental weekly,monthly,quarterly and yearly reports.
