It is with great enthusiasm that I submit my application for your Internal Control Intern position. I am applying for the position because I resonate with Ford’s mission to for people working together as a lean, global enterprise to make people’s lives better through automotive and mobility leadership. This is important to me as I strive to make a bold impact on both my personal and professional life. My personal ambitions, skills, and study in Ryerson’s Business Technology Management Co-op program (with a minor in computer science), makes me the ideal candidate in your IT department. During my time at Vaughan Sports Centre, I worked as a General Manager for 2+ years. This role allowed me to strengthen my communication skills through the management of the entire facility and responding to customer inquiries promptly. Furthermore, I was able to build on my existing interpersonal and communication skills by maintaining close relations with important clients and investors. Also, I have a strong need to prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment, as I managed all the marketing, financial, and administrative efforts regularly. This experience in the sports industry has helped me develop essential transferable skills and knowledge that I can bring to your organization. Additionally, problem-solving and quality assurance skills through my job at the Amazon Fulfillment Centre as a Quality Assurance Manager will be directly transferable to the Internal Control Intern role. My position requires me to analyze large data for up to 120 workers, which is done through an automated metric system. While writing reports on anything that has impacted the production of the freight lines. Reports contain many impacting factors such as low individual production, bad case labels for freight, associate errors, and next steps in a supply chain environment. Why am I perfect for Ford? I have a passion for technology, investing, and learning. On my journey, I have partaken in a variety of IT courses and Ryerson Extracurricular Bootcamps that have taught me advanced ways to use programs such as Excel, SEO, SQL, Tableau and VBA. While picking up other numerous technical skills such as telephony, O365 administration, G-Suite administration, and networking. Since I have worked with data extensively throughout my experiences, it makes my proficiency in Excel one of my strongest assets. Moreover, my critical thinking skills have been strengthened throughout my endeavours as a delegate in DECA, where I received honours to participate in the provincial level event. In DECA, I evaluated business processes and implemented changes to various business scenarios that I received. If there is something I do not know, I will learn it. I enjoy challenges and the opportunity to improve existing systems/processes. Thank you for your time and consideration. Over the last six years, I have gained an abundance of experience and have acquired several valuable skills that will help me thrive in this position.
