I am an Agriculture Science Graduate and my choice was purposely based on the experiences I have had in my life. My father is a farmer, due to lack of advance farming skills and unfavorable climatic conditions, my father faced many hardships as a small farmer. My curiosity level was exceptionally high to know more about Agriculture and my father assisted me in answering a few of my questions.
After pursuing my Ag B. Sc, I was selected for an M. Sc in the Prestigious Nalanda University in Rajgir, Bihar. I pursued my M. Sc in Ecology and Environment Studies, which took me to a new world all together. Also, this experience of a new discipline introduced me, to the taste of interdisciplinary studies with subjects like Sustainability Studies and Environmental Economics. After M. Sc, I was selected for prestigious Young India Fellowship (YIF) with fully funded scholarship at Ashoka University, where I was introduced to very diverse range of subjects, ranging from Art Appreciation to Leadership and was groomed under professors who motivated me immensely to contribute to public good. It was at Ashoka, that I discovered the power of interdisciplinarity, as a tool for human & social upliftment. With this purpose, to work on my inner calling of skills & entrepreneurship, I also took introductory classes in advanced programming and fast evolving Data Sciences and have begun to explore the utility of languages like Python and Tableau.
During the YIF program at Ashoka, I also gained experience while working as a Research Associate with the Dept. of Women and Child Development, Govt of Delhi. It involved works of all sorts, ranging from field work to brainstorming and drafting policies, for the drug abused children to overcome drugs. Today, I am happy to say that some of those policies, I was the part of, are currently being implemented by Provincial Govt of Delhi.
Since the summer of 2019, I have also been working as a full-time Researcher at IIIT Delhi, which undertaking an ICSSR funded project called EcoLab. This project aims to understand the potential of ICTs and social media in enhancing public participation in environmental policy and is being led by Dr. Aasim Khan & Dr. Sarayu Natarajan, both Directors of EcoLab. This experience has given me a hands-on introduction to research and given me invaluable insights about the value of conducting field work. In the past, as part of B. Sc program, I conducted field survey in a village for a few months in order to have Rural Agriculture Work Experience (R.A.W.E) & get a better idea of on ground issues faced by the farmers in their daily life. The position of a Customer Service Representative – Agriculture at AeroFarm will be an excellent opportunity to further improve my carrier and enhance my skills and concepts further on to my objective of life i.e. Customer Service Representative – Agriculture at AeroFarm.
As an individual inclined to pay attention to smallest details in any task, I feel that this opportunity can also help me in developing social networks in the field of Customer Service. As mentioned in her book ‘mindset’ by a Stanford psychologist carol dreck, I consider myself as a learn doll. Over a course of my education, I can understand half a dozen languages & can speak fluently in English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Urdu which will be an added advantage for me to be at this Job. I have strong intuition that, I can work effectively in the office as a Customer Service Representative – Agriculture at AeroFarm.
I am highly motivated individual, with a capacity for Agriculture skills, research, creativity & customer service, working as a Customer Service Representative – Agriculture. I feel confident that my work will contribute to the development of the AeroFarm. I will not only be an asset for this role, but will continue to engage with the team in discussions, and always be motivated to work.
I hope, I have justified myself well and you will consider me favorably for this great opportunity.
