DURABILITY PROPERTIES OF CONCRETE BY USING NATURAL RUBBER LATEX MILK
In the present scenario the construction industry is more oriented towards employing the locally available and natural materials from renewable resources to produce high performance cement composites thereby ensuring an energy efficient and environmentally responsible construction practice. polymers are widely used in construction for the improvement of mechanical properties, workability and durability characteristics of concrete. Various polymer latexes find extensive application in the modification of cement composites. However this synthetic latexes are not only costlier but also pose serious environmental threats. This defines the scope of utilizing in a natural polymer which can offer equal performance of synthetic polymers in an environment friendly manner. Natural rubber latex (NRL) is such natural polymer latex from renewable resource which can be employed for the modification of cement composites especially concrete.
Test carried out
•To investigate durability of concrete of grade M25 using modified natural rubber latex as constituent of concrete.
•Natural rubber latex is used in various percentages of 0% to 15% at an interval of 3% in existing study.
•Durability tests such as sulphate attack test, acid test, water absorption test, chloride test, corrosion test, sorptivity test & elevated temperature test is done to substantiate the use of natural rubber latex
•The outcome of the test resulted increasing at 3% addition of natural rubber latex milk in the concrete
EXTENSIVE SURVEY PROJECT
The aim of this project is to fetch the exposure to the detailed survey procedures of real-time civil engineering projects like reservoir projects, water supply and sanitary project, highway alignment project. In which all the necessary survey work required for the successful formulation of the project was done and all data were collected. Subsequently all the relevant drawings like contours, cross sections etc., were made and designs were done. The following projects are comprehensively done with all relevant designs.
