Working with egis international consultant in Nairobi missing link project i.e. Lusaka road, Enterprise road, Muratina Road, Parklands road, Rabai Road etc

Department: Material testing and control laboratory

Position: Senior Laboratory technician

I have served in the above stated position and gained the following experience in material testing and control in material testing laboratory for egis international consultant firm in the Nairobi missing link project.

Soils;

proctor test for determination of maximum dry density and moisture content

Soil alignment

California bearing ratio test

U.c.s for both aggregates and soils

Determination of compaction and that is field density by sand replacement method and by the use of nuclear gauge

Grading

Dynamic cone penetromer test

Soil sampling and soil alignment for soil classification

Plasticity index by both cassagrande and meter penetration method

Asphalt works

I am extensively experienced in asphalt, including asphalt design and control i.e. by the use of vibrating hammer, Gyro comp and marshal machine, can carry out all asphalt tests in the laboratory and in the field work. I have gone through and can handle the design and control of asphalt that is binder course, wearing course and surface dressing layer etc
