Elmon has over 14 years of experience as a civil engineer. She has been responsible for design, review, and management of prestigious international projects in the US, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Bulgaria, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and the UK. Her management responsibilities included planning, coordinating, budgeting, and supervising those projects from the beginning to the conclusion.
Her expertise covers large multidisciplinary infrastructure projects such as railroads, roadways, and energy; as well as leadership and management of geotechnical engineers and multidisciplinary teams. As her focus has been on geotechnical and earthquake engineering, she is experienced in geotechnical investigations, data interpretation, deep foundation, deep excavation shoring system, retaining wall, earthwork, slope stability, settlement analysis, soil improvement, and use of various Oasys software packages; Pile, Alp, Vdisp, Tunset, Greta and Safe, Terrasol, Rocscience, as well as Plaxis Finite Element Software. She is also proficient in CAD drawings with Autocad and Civil 3D. She has research experience in machine learning; as a PhD candidate she has been working on
“Hazard Estimation Study with Machine Learning for Existing Buildings due to Soil Conditions for Kocaeli and Northridge Earthquakes” . During her career at Arup, with a team of engineers, she developed a parametric tool for piled foundation design. She provided technical training to other Arup offices within the Arup University program. She thought classes at Okan University in Istanbul on “Soil Mechanics” and “In Situ Soil Testing.”

Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, Istanbul : Responsible for design of top down shoring system for an excavation located next to Marmara sea and foundation piles. Site team support on PIT, SIT test interpretation.
Makkah Public Transport Program (MPTP) Metro Phase 1, Tender Support for Underground Stations Temporary Design Works, Makkah Saudi Arabia: Responsible for tender design of viaduct foundations, settlement, and bearing capacity calculations.
Kocaeli Light Rail, Kocaeli: Design review of geotechnical design for preliminary design of 33 km. long Kocaeli Light Rail Line which consisted of 23 underground, at grade and viaduct stations.
TÜPRAŞ Resid Upgrading Project (RUP), Kocaeli : Geotechnical technical reviewer of a jetty and quay retrofit project and central control house for the redevelopment of Izmit refineries.
Quay Wall Design Review Project, Kuwait : Design of a quay wall structure and soil improvement alternative using PLAXIS finite element software and optimization studies.
Ashgabat Olympic Complex, Ashgabat, Turkmenistan: Project engineer of an international complex of total construction area 1.500.000 sq.m. Specification and interpretation of ground investigation, preparation of earthworks and plans, cut and fill calculations.
Airport Link Project, Brisbane, Australia: Integrated Northern Busway extension and East West Arterial Gateway extension connecting Brisbane Airport, inner northern suburbs and inner city with 6.8 km road tunnels.
Arco Shopping Centre Sofia, Bulgaria: Pile foundation and shoring system design for deep excavation.
Sabiha Gokcen International Airport, Istanbul: Settlement analysis, retaining wall design for the new international terminal sizing about 320.000sq.m.
Gallipoli Road Project, Gallipoli: Slope stability analysis and retaining wall design of 2 km long road.
Riverbank House Piling Works, London: Site representative for the Client at Riverbank House overseeing design and build piling works comprising the construction of straight shafted and underream piles and the extraction of existing piles.
