As a Certified Nursing Assistant, I took care of elderly residents that need a little extra help to be able to be as independent as possible. I feed, bathe, clothe, and take residents to social events such as bingo, music, social hour, etc…

As a Home Health Care Provider, I took care of clients in their own home. I cooked meals, cleaned the home, did their laundry, gave showers or baths, and groomed them. I drove clients to all their appointments and took them grocery shopping and drove them to do their errands, etc.

As a Parking Ambassador for downtown Fargo, I enforce all the public parking for both on street and parking lots. Helped out of town visitors by giving them information about the parking rules and also giving them information on the businesses and shopping of downtown.

As a patient registrar, I checked patients in for surgery. I verified all the demographic information: name, address, DOB, contact information, insurance, and patient contacts. I took payments, scanned forms into the patient’s record, and admitted the patient. I also helped with other duties at the Same Day Surgery Center. I worked with the unit clerk to help with chart preparation, assigned Medical record numbers, and filed important documents. I helped with the guest services department in setting family members up to meet the physician after the surgery, stocked food, and made the families of the patients as comfortable as possible.

As a Patient Constant Observer/Sitter, I sat with patients that could not be left alone due to doctor’s orders. I sat with suicide patients, psychiatric patients, dementia patients, ICU patients etc… I would sit in shifts of 4-8 hours at a time. I helped the nurses and CNAs lift, change, feed, and walk the patients. I also ordered the meals for the patients.

In the embroidery factories, I was responsible for running 2 separate machines. It was my responsibility to get the machines ready for my production. I programmed the machines and ran them.

Volunteer Experience

I coded flu shots from October-December 2011 for Sanford Health
