Responsibilities: Analyze production schedules and estimate labor. Ensure and negotiate with suppliers’ equipment, raw materials, packing and other supplies required for completion of production orders, process flow and administrative area, guaranteeing required minimum stocks on time (supply chain). Adjust paperwork according to workstations. Direct and train worker regarding to company’s polices and safety regulations. Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, production capacities and quality standards of product and processes. Suggest and enforce changes in working conditions and use of equipment (PPE/PPC) to increase plant’s safety norms across to all departments. Increased cash flow by partnering with the vendor while provided shipment containers to our products. Initiated program by MRP system along with inkjet labeling mode instead of paper labeling that reduced costs dramatically and kept only the containers needed at that specific time, for several raw materials and final product in inventory.
Reduced operation costs and increased accountability by working with the individual department managers to better understand and take control of their budgets within a production plant in expansion mode. Systematic analysis of budget became part of the performance evaluation process; annual costs were successfully reduced by nine percent.
Reviewed the procurement of raw materials comparing liquid versus powder bagged materials. It was found that liquid materials purchased were 8% higher costs, when the additive to the chemical was usually very cheap solvents or diluents. Redefined the purchase process materials, wherein we added diluents or solvents at the plant. Annual production costs dropped 12% and new products of variable concentrations were created; now raw material could be of internal consuming and supply customers with new options in the market place as added value.
