Tracked all incoming railcars and improved demurrage by 80% by zxA directly with local and National railroads.

My methods of organization and logistics improved inventory turns from 8 to 24 in 18 months.

I instituted upon my arrival at the Greeley facility the FIFO (first in first out) methodology which increased inventory turns 200%.

Made the decision to use alternative inventory and deplete obsolete or remaining stock which also served to increase inventory turns.

I was responsible for scheduling material in a ‘Just-in-time’ delivery method in the effort to move paper rolls directly from railcars and truck to press production; this d to increase production output by 70%.

I streamlined purchasing, receiving, damage claims, and usage reports for Management and Accounting which saved time by 33%.

Created and maintained the ISO documents and procedures for processing damage claims.

Worked closely with vendors and CSRs to reduce damage and decrease claims; claims processing was decreased by 70%.

Able to rectify railroad transit times variation by 90% through continuous communication with the Union Pacific Railroad and Paper Mill vendors.

Worked very closely with local rail crew and introduced them to our production process thus revealing the importance of receiving cars as ordered; this enabled our Division to meet our production requirements, decrease demurrage by 98%, and transit variation by 90%.

Reduced rail demurrage from $25,000 per year to $500 per year.

I accurately ordered and purchased paper inventory, which was made from six-month projections to fit into a three-day delivery window, then adjusted accordingly till Last Date to Change (LDC)

I was very proactive and decisive in making scheduling and inventory usage changes.

Continuous prioritizing and multi-tasking to meet customer and production needs.

My continuous consultation with paper vendors, rail companies, and shipping brokers in regards to managing the supply chain, as well as internal and external customers which improved our overall inventory turns, quality, and efficiencies.

Created the methodology for physical inventory counts following the completion of a job.

Developed and monitored the procedures for reconciling all remaining inventories and completed reports for review by Materials Management and Accounting departments.

I consulted frequently with Management, Supervision, Paper Buyer, production Planning, Customer Service, Accounting, and Maintenance in a team-oriented effort to meet customer and division objectives and expectations.

I covered for the Paper Buyer, Customer Service Representatives, and Materials Supervisor when necessary.

Wrote ISO 9000 and 2001 work instructions for the Logistics Specialist and the Paper Baler Operator.

Created safety documents and performed safety audits for the entire Paper department.

My most compelling reward was having developed and performed the Expeditor position in Greeley, CO. It was a daily challenge and brought out the best in myself and those around me.

I also created an electronic damage claim in MS Excel which was ISO 2004 certified

I created the Emissions Report for the EPA Audit which was used for the Annual EPA Audits for particulates released into the atmosphere.
