Structural Drafting at Dar Al Handasah (Dar Amman Branch Shair & Partners): Design Services for Ritz Carlton Hotel and Residences, Amman – Jordan Overview:

The project is a 5 stars luxury Hotel operated by Ritz Carlton, and considered as a new benchmark for hospitality in Jordan-Amman near. The project is located in the already prestigious area of the 5th circle surrounded by the Four Seasons Hotel, The Sheraton Hotel, and the upcoming Fairmont Hotel along the main Zahran Street and Kindi Street.

Project Components:

The project will have two components:

1-The Ritz Carlton Hotel building, with a built-up area of approximately 30,330sqm, and 72 m high with above ground 19 floors, is composed of Hotel podium ( at Ground, Basement 1, First and Second floor) receiving Hotel Front of House Amenities, i.e. Banquet, specialty restaurant, all day dining, spa, external gardens and pools, etc.. While upper floors 3rd to 18th receive about 227 guestroom keys, the 19th floor is fully dedicated to a specialty restaurant. Basements 1, 2 and 3 receive as well the BOH services, storages and parking. 2- The branded Ritz Carlton Residences building with an estimated built-up area of 35,360sqm, 72m high with above ground 19 floors, is composed of podium ( at ground floor level) including Hall, Residents amenities i.e. Gym/pool, audio, lounge, meeting room, etc.. While 18 upper floors (1st to 19th) offering around 84 luxurious apartments with all supporting services and amenities. Additional 4 basements receive the BOH services, storages and parking.

My Scope:

Mr. Ayyash was the main draft man at this project without any others support to him. My scope was to reach the drawing and detail to the high level of details to match the ISO requirements. Furthermore, Mr. Ayyash was the person who is modeling and building the total Revit model.

Jumeirah Beach Projects District Cooling Plant

The Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), Dubai, intends to build International Media Production zone (IMPZ) District Cooling Plant (DCP) to replace the temporary running plant. This Plot is one of 3 plots allocated for DCPs within IMPZ, there are currently multiple temporary plants serving the site, to comply with Executive order 27, Empower have to shift from Temporary plants to Permanent Plants

My Scope:

Mr. Ayyash was the main draftsman at this project with 4 others support to him. My scope was to reach the drawing and detail to the high level of details to match the ISO requirements. Furthermore, Mr. Ayyash was the person who is modeling and building the total Revit model.

5 STAR HOTEL & RESIDENCES AT MARSA ARABIA THE PEARL QATAR The Project is related to the previously designed 5 Star Hotel at Mars Arabia – Doha, and concerns the conversion of the original hotel into mixed use development (Hotel + apartments + related facilities). The Original hotel project is a business hotel with resort amenities located in Mars- Arabia Island (7.25 hectare / 72,545 m2) in the heart of the Porto Arabia Island. The island is formed and completely surrounded by a stone revetment and accessible by a vehicular bridge from the Porto Arabia Retail District to the west. The original resort program called for an approximate total built-up area of 106,000m2 with one underground parking level of 590 cars capacity. In addition to its 301 keys of luxurious guestrooms and suites the hotel offers a wide array of amenities including a lobby lounge, one cigar Bar, three Specialty Restaurants, one three meals Restaurant and one pool grill Restaurant. It also offers a Spa and Fitness Center, wedding facility, a conferencing area that includes a Ballroom, a banquet room, a meeting space and two business centers. The external amenities include a number of outdoor swimming pools with private and hospitality cabanas, event gardens, courtyards and outdoor tennis courts.

Standby Emergency Power Plants

Five Standby Emergency Power Plants to supply the essential, critical and life safety electrical loads for phase 1 of the new Al Maktoum International (AMI) Airport. Each plant will be a stand-alone building in a plot area of around 8000 m2 as per the current master plan of the AMI. Each plot will have a building and Yard for the generators, auxiliaries, and supporting facilities for full function emergency plant. Each plant will be divided into two separate generation plants, one to supply the critical and life safety loads within 10 seconds, the other to supply the essential loads with 5 – 10 min.

All plants are all low rise buildings and consist of 1 or 2 floors above ground and localized basement as needed. The height of the building will be with 15 m maximum.

EXPEC Advanced Research Center Lab Buildings

The project is a D&B contract and working with RTCC (Al-Rashid contracting). The project will be done together with P+W and starting directly into detailed design stage based on an already available advanced schematic design prepared by another consultant as part of the D&B tender.

The new Research facilities under this project are being built to ensure support of the strategic research domains of the SAUDI ARAMCO Exploration and Petroleum Engineering Center (EXPEC) by expanding its facility in Dhahran to enhance research and technology within SAUDI ARAMCO.

My Scope:

Mr. Ayyash was part of the support team at this project to help the main draft man. His scope was to reach the drawing and detail to the high level of details to match the ISO requirements. Furthermore, Mr. Ayyash was the person who is reviewing the total Revit model.

King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals Buildings The Project is a new facility which would be developed in conjunction with Dhahran Techno-Valley Company (DTVC), the commercial arm of KFUPM. The project consist of two buildings as follows:

1. Research and development laboratory space as well as incubator labs to foster innovation and entrepreneurship across KFUPM with an area of 7,440 m2. 2. A Petroleum Engineering and Geoscience college will be designed and constructed to support and enhance the undergraduate and graduate programs and established a strong tie with petroleum industry with an area of 19,573 m2. Jaheziya Development Program

The Concept master plan already prepared by the client was based on providing a total of 8 training zones, which covers the industries and sectors which have a high degree of hazards in the workplace and require personalized training facilities. Each training zone will feature a unique specialty instruction program geared towards providing a specific skill set in crisis and disaster management. Dedicated Props within each training zone are provided to simulate real life emergency scenarios and specific training exercises. Through scenario-based training of single and multiple events, a unique experience can be provided which allows professionals from various agencies to cooperate, communicate and interact with their counterparts while performing the operations they were exclusively trained for. An Integrated Simulation Complex will also provide academic training to supplement the practical training zones in a classroom environment. The master plan will take into account flexibility to meet future training needs and customized training scenarios. Training zone, props and simulation requirements will be validated and updated with Jaheziya’s Management during the Pre-construction phase.

March 2013 - November 2015

Interior Designer, Structure SHOP DRAWING and site supervision (ATCCO Arab Towers Company) Expansion of Kempinski Hotel Amman project.

5stars the project is a new extension for the existing hotel (Annex). The work consists of the construction, completion and maintenance of four basements and six upper floors with a total area of 12530 m2 with all Civil, MEP and finishing works. My Scope:

Mr. Ayyash was:

1- Shop drawing engineer, where part of his task was to create the Architectural shop drawings for the hotel at the highest level of check for the site implementation to fade any differences between design drawings and shop drawings. 2- One of the site team at the tender stage (for construction stage). His scope was to implement the all required details shown on the drawings (Design/Shop) at the site with matching the high level of proficiency.

Samra Waste Water Treatment Plant

Main scope of work includes the following structures and buildings with all related works:

•Primary Settling Tank.

•Primary Sludge and Scum Piping Chambers & Flow Meter Chamber.

•Aeration Tanks & Distribution Structure.

•Secondary Settling Tanks & Distribution Structure.

•Sludge Recirculation & Extraction.

•Air Blower Building.

•Electrical Substation.

•Chlorination Tank.

My Scope:

1- Shop drawing engineer, where part of his task was to create the Structural shop drawings for the water treatment at the highest level of check for the site implementation to fade any differences between design drawings and shop drawings. 2- One of the site team at the tender stage (for construction stage). His scope was to implement the all required details shown on the drawings (Design/Shop) at the site with matching the high level of proficiency.

- Site engineer and constructing of different project as privet villas, Malls, and hangers projects. These projects are in different Areas .The works consist of Site construction and concrete works the quality controlling and daily coordination.
