OBJECTIVE

The reason for pursuing another career choice is justified by my goals of being successful. I measure success with knowledge learned, wealth accumulated, and happiness preserved. I am a dedicated, thorough, and diligent father of 2 and would like to see them see their father be successful.

EXPERIENCE

Equipment Operator, Academy DC, Cookeville, TN

As an equipment operator at Academy my job was to transport, stock, and pick freight safely and accurately across the warehouse. My duties included checking quantities, dates and destinations, and truck manifests for accuracy.

Warehouse Associate, PepsiCo, Cookeville, TN —

03/2022-present

Working at Pepsi, I learned many skills including forklift and pallet jack operation, how to drive a box truck, and loading trailers. This job really requires teamwork on a huge scale every night to supply Cookeville with Pepsi products. I would manually build pallets out of Pepsi products, wrap them for safety and transportation, and load them at the directed site. I also certified other people’s pallets for quality control before loading them by pallet jack onto box trucks that couldn’t take the load of a forklift. Meter Reader 1, City of Cookeville, TN — 10/2019-01/2022 As a meter reader, I was tasked with locating, reading, and correctly entering every electric, water, and gas meter within, and sometimes beyond city limits. Most electric and gas meters are analog which requires some knowledge on how to read them to be effective, but water meters can be located anywhere on a specific property, and I’d read them in rain, snow, or sunshine no matter what. I’m also tasked with marking and documenting potential hazards such as dogs, hard-to-find meters, and little notes to make the readings more accurate. I have to maintain my own work vehicle which includes, but is not limited to oil changes, wiper blades, head and taillights, tires, cleanliness inside and outside the cab, and most importantly, being safe driving around the city. Meter reading in Cookeville, specifically, requires good health as I usually walk between 5-10 miles any given day. I’ve accumulated a great knowledge of all the roads in Cookeville, and have been to every address within city limits multiple times.

Heavy Equipment Operator, L&P Contractors, Cookeville, TN — 06/2018-03/2019

As a skid steer operator on the contracts I received, my main duty was to clear gas pipeline right-of- ways of brush and trees to eliminate the roots from penetrating gas pipelines. The landscape that was too risky and steep for a skid steer called for weed eaters and traversing the landscape which the skid steer cannot. Maintaining the heavy equipment included an “every morning checklist” which consisted of checking the oil, lights, blades, hydraulic hoses, cleaning of the vehicle, and sometimes replacing the 1,800 pound tracks. I had to use gps location software to pinpoint the pipeline and navigate the best route through the hills, mountains, swamps, or wherever the pipeline travels. As a crew leader, I was in charge of maintaining my own personal vehicle as it was my crews transportation to and from the pipeline.

Parts/Sales Associate, Cookeville Raceway and Hobbies, Cookeville, TN — 10/2017-06/2018

As a hobby-grade remote control vehicle specialist, I had to know the ins and outs of many different brands of drones, trucks, airplanes, and boats to help the customer find a solution to the problem their r/c vehicle is having. At this level, the vehicles were basically actual vehicles and planes and so forth. There are tons of parts schematics and diagrams to fix brushless motors, different gearings for transmissions, and self-wiring electronic speed controls to 1/5 scale vehicles all the way down to 1/24 scale size of an actual vehicle. Assisting customers was the main goal and most of the time teaching them the right way to handle things was the outcome. Taking care of different battery compositions, cleaning their vehicles, and working on it themselves were everyday topics of discussion between customers and myself.

Assistant Manager, Blue Water Grille, Silver Point, TN — 04/2016-05/2017

As an assistant manager at a seasonal summer restaurant, the main concern was always to keep the customers happy. It’s a fast-paced environment that requires knowledge of not just the food served, but how it’s served, who’s serving it, and the overall atmosphere is equally important. I coordinated customer events, managed finances at the end of each night correcting drawer balances, getting servers they’re tips, and so on. Receiving restaurant orders and making schedules were among other duties, but above all, my job was to get the customer happy if they weren’t already.

Package Handler, UPS Worldport, Louisville, KY—

06/201*-**-****

As a package handler at the largest American UPS facility, I stayed busy constantly unloading packages carefully from a container and/or pallets off of planes. I’ve lifted packages anywhere from 1-100 pounds and team lifted anything over that. We divided packages up between normal boxes, bags of small goods, and “irregs”, large, bulky, or oddly-shaped packages. I would place them on a conveyor belt that extended into the truck in a way that each barcode could be scanned and tracked. I worked night-shift for the benefit of tuition reimbursement. After about a year, I was promoted to also de-ice plane wings before takeoff. EDUCATION

University of Louisville, Louisville, KY

Pre-Medical Biology, No Degree

01/2012-06/2013

Attending the University of Louisville as a biology student was an eye-opening experience. Thoughts and pursuits of being a doctor filled my head, but made me realize I didn’t want to be one. I like the environmental side of science. The rules and laws of nature are what drive me, and how I can better sustain, or even help a future employer upkeep or maintain anything concerning our habitat and environment as human beings, I’d gladly be apart of. Louisville Male High School, Louisville, KY

College Preparatory, Graduate

07/2007-06/2011

With a focus on math and science, high school prepared me for real-world issues and education beyond high school. I graduated with a focus on science with a 3.4 gpa. SKILLS
