I am an experienced ERP implementation professional with over thirty years of industry experience. I have over eighteen years of consulting experience with Oracle’s JD Edwards Enterprise software while working with national consulting firms. I have extensive international experience having implemented JD Edwards in eighteen different countries. Prior to consulting, I spent sixteen years in the accounting profession performing functions ranging from auditing in public accounting to controller

My experiences have allowed me to gain a working knowledge of modules outside of the finance area. I have often been involved with the sales order modules building and testing order entry, advanced pricing, preference processing, and order promising. My purchasing experience includes the entire procure to pay process including blanket order processing, receipts routing and integration with planning systems. Similarly I have experience with setting up Product Data Management and shop floor control procedures in a manufacturing environment.

All these experiences provide me with the unique ability to know and understand how decisions in one area of the application impacts other areas of the software which leads to an optimal solution for the client.

Implementation Roles and Responsibilities

Project Manager

Performed project management duties for new installation of JDEdward 9.2 software for a new site of a Tier 1 automotive supplier of constant velocity joints. The project included the use of Internet of Things (IoT) to track completions and scrap on the shop floor, various product measurements and generate a dashboard of various metrics that are displayed on screens in the plant in real time. I had to get deeply involved in the RF Smart scanning processes of the project in order to bring the project in successfully. I gained a deep understanding of the inner workings of the RS Smart Product. We also had to work with JDEdward’s Supplier Portal and User Productivity Kit (UPK) products.

Performed project management duties for an upgrade from Oracle’s JDEdwards software from 8.11 to 9.1 for a company with nineteen mining locations in the US. There were eight members on the project team plus additional off-shore resources. The project was managed in three phases. The first was a technical upgrade to 9.1 to get the current functionality working in 9.1. The second was to architect, build and test a solution to enable the company to reorganize to take advantage of various tax legislation in the mining industry. The final phase was to introduce process improvements and deploy functionality within the system the client was not currently using.

Performed project management duties for a global upgrade from Oracle’s JDEdwards software from Xe to 9.1 for the clients North American and European operations. Project team consisted of international and domestic consultants, developers as well as client personnel. Team consisted of up to thirty people globally. The original environment was heavily modified. We were able to greatly reduce the number and invasiveness of these modifications while still making sure the business retained its core competencies and competitive advantages. The implementation also included several interfaces to both internal and external systems requiring the need for significant development effort.

Project manager for Asia-Pacific roll-out of Oracle’s JDEdwards 9.0 software and subsequent upgrade to 9.1 for an international distribution company. Project team consisted of fifteen team members. Project included localization and development efforts in Japan, Korea and China. We took these companies from legacy systems to JDE 9.0

Chart of accounts re-design project to improve global reporting and analysis of an international bicycle manufacturer. I was responsible for all deliverables on the project and project time lines. It was an off-shore model working with developers in India. I reported to a steering committee of the client and lead a team of twelve people.

I was also the project manger on two previous assignments. I was responsible for all the deliverables of the project, project time lines and project profitability. One project was international in scope while the other was and implementation of Oracle’s JD Edwards applications for a US site of a Japanese Tier One Automotive Supplier

Financial Team Lead

Financial tem lead for roll-out of JDEdwards to an acquired subsidiary in Germany. Responsibilities included financial reporting, accounts payable and accounts receivables including SEPA direct debit processes for the new subsidiary with a new bank.

I generally have had the role of financial team lead. This role worked with a financial lead from the client team, and together, were responsible for all aspects of the implementation from the financial point. This included financial reporting, statutory reporting, daily, month-end and annual processes within the financial dept.

All the implementations included pieces of business process improvements taking advantage of functionality in the system or making improvements within the finance department to improve efficiency.

All implementations including managing a team of people under the team leads. Team sizes ranged from three to eight. The team members were client personnel or consultants located in other countries so the ability to communicate effectively across cultural boundaries was very important

Integrating JDEdwards with the company’s custom built B2B website used for order processing, cash collections, and credit and collections activities

Improved the integration of a custom built equipment rental application to the Oracle JD Edwards standard financial reporting system
