SILVER GAUNTLET INTERNATIONAL, THOUSAND OAKS

CURRENT EMPLOYER

SILVER GAUNTLET INTERNATIONAL, THOUSAND OAKS

JUNE 2016 TO PRESENT

Director of Client Services – in addition to handling all client requests, concerns and general needs, executive administrative assistance is provided to the owner of the company from general office management to secretarial duties. My employer, a retired L.A. Sheriff Sergeant, has decided to close his consulting company within the next few months. Thus, the reason for my job search.

PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE:

PACIFIC PROTECTION SERVICES, WOODLAND HILLS

OCTOBER OF 2001 TO JUNE OF 2016 (15 YEARS CONTINUOUS BUT ADDITIONAL 2.5 YEARS PRIOR)

Customer Relations Manager – Available to all clients in a myriad of ways, from solving issues at properties, to writing serious incident reports and educating guard personnel on post orders for their locations. Also assisted the billing department in preparing a weekly spreadsheet of all new business accounts. Handled correspondence, took dictation, answered phones, assisted with general office needs and provided assistance in other departments. This company functioned as a team. Employees were trained to be able to provide cross over assistance out of their immediate assigned areas.

PACIFIC PROTECTION SERVICES

MAY OF 1994 TO JANUARY OF 1997 (2.5 YEARS)

Secretary – Provided office support to company owners. I resigned after a few years to manage a family member’s intricate estate. During that time my son was born and I worked from home. I returned to Pacific Protection in 2001.

LARGO ENTERTAINMENT ON THE FOX LOT

1992 TO 1994

Secretary to Vice President of Finance, Steve Bloom. This was a film production company located on the Fox movie lot at Pico and Motor in West Los Angeles. The company was owned by Larry Gordon who produced many blockbusters, including Field of Dreams. I provided secretarial assistance to the financial department. While I was at Largo, we had hits with Point Break and Unlawful Entry. I interfaced easily with high profile executives and celebrities. Eventually, this production company was disbanded. My next full time job was at Pacific Protection Services.

COMMUNICATION

Worked as a news reporter for numerous publications, including the Daily News, honing my verbal and written communication skills. Employment years in the security industry offered communication training classes in de-escalation techniques. Focus was on handling heated situations and offering alternative solutions to facilitate a smooth return to departmental responsibilities. My work objective is to ensure that client needs are exceeded while co-workers feel any issues they experience have been addressed in a caring manner.

ACTIVITIES OUTSIDE OF WORK

Former HOA board member, participation in church guild duties and currently sing weekly in the soprano section of my church choir. As a continuing member of ASIS (American Society for Industrial Security) I attend monthly meetings to gain further knowledge about safety guidelines for protecting human life, securing workplace/community environments and implementing new technology to aid in these efforts.
