I ensure all nursing functions within the department run smoothly and efficiently using delegation, schedules, and tracking records to keep track of concerns, admissions and discharges. Practice wound care treatment and skin cleansing. I make sure the ward is stacked with supplies, medications, and proper equipment. Verify inventory. Oversee the management and planning of patientcare for the duration of the shift. Direct and schedule staff and provide input to senior management. Follow up on complaints, document, de- escalate sensitive situations, solve problems and handle stressful situations. I worked throughout the Covid Pandemic and was able to keep patients and families at rest while maintaining proper safety precautions. I ensure HIPAA compliance, maintain confidentiality with patient information and sensitive data. Train new nurses. Seek out better ways and cost efficient methods to provide services.
