Working as a senior DBA maintaining existing SQL Server databases. Ensuring daily backups and log files are running correctly. Adding spaces as needed. Environment: Windows Server 2012, SQL Server 2012

Write T-SQL stored procedures that report on various information in the databases according to specs provided by the client. Each report runs on a daily or monthly basis. The stored procedures each create a result set that is then reported on using SSRS reporting. The reports are then automatically emailed to a list of recipients.

The data accumulation is significant so the data is archived by running purge queries that are run on a monthly basis. Data is backed up and archived. Then the purge process clears the previous 30-day reporting period. Indices are re-built and other maintenance processes are run.

Project Description – Team Lead/Mentor - Senior DBA/Web Developer/Linux/Windows Administrator/Java Developer/Production Support

Working as a senior DBA (Team Lead – Group of 5 DBAs/Linux Admins) configure complex databases in SQL Server (2005,2008, 2012), MySQL, DB2 and Mongo DB. Install/configure monitoring software, configure and monitor DB backups. In addition, monitor SQL Server for replication and log-shipping jobs. Install/configure/monitor MS SQL Server/MySQL/DB2 and MongoDB (NoSQL) as needed.

Establish Mongo DB Hot backup restore procedures for production environment.

Developed a .NET application that creates SAML and sends a transaction to the Vendor for processing. Developed with Visual Studio 2013. The process uses CGI to send data to the client web site. This was one of the most critical systems implemented at CHS as patient health education is prepared and generated by this system.

Provide support to the Business Objects team. Evaluate queries, design server configuration and migration processes, monitor performance and correct inefficiencies.

MySQL DBA work consists of installation, monitoring, and upgrades. Set of Master/Master and Master/Slave configurations for HA patient HIPAA record logging. Number of MySQL servers manage is 20.

SQL Server DBA work in design/build servers in VM. Install SQL Server 2008/2012. Configure AlwaysOn High Availability Groups. Maintain all SQL Servers for space/data integrity.

DB2-Manage DB2 servers. Monitor backup, update security, restore databases as needed.

Create new servers for test/production for DB2. Set up new instances of DB2 and configure security.

Data Center Move- Role: DBA/Admin Team Lead for databases and Linux servers – in 2014 moved about 2000 servers from Naples Data Center to an Atlanta based DC. Key role was in identifying server owners, prepping servers for move, building new servers in new data center, scheduling migration, testing, and final push to move all servers through automated scripts. Note: Team consisted of 7 DBA’s and Linux Admins.

Develop a Java plugin with Eclipse for server monitoring. The plugin sends metrics to NewRelic with databases status of various processes.

Develop a Java program (ETL) that processes CCDA (xml files) and injects the data into the Pulse system (AS400) via a stored procedure. This is an ETL process to Extract data from the XML files and Transform it into a useable format for Loading into the AS400 system.

Technical Skills used – VM Ware – vSphere Client/Linux RedHat 6.4 6.5/ MySQL/Linux Suse/Windows Server 2008, 2012 R2/Putty/WinSCP/Java/Eclipse/SQL Server 2008 and 2012/MongoDB/DB2.

Working as a senior developer on a CF/Oracle project to create a new Airworthiness application for General Dynamics with the tool being created for the US Navy. Project involves design/development using ColdFusion and Oracle with Coldbox (MVC) as the system architecture. Database design using TOAD for Oracle to interface with the database. Security clearance required. The project is replacing a cumbersome Fusebox legacy airworthiness system with an easier to maintain system using Coldbox/Oracle. All of the interfaces use CGI to communicate variables with the backend database.

Project Description

Working as a middleware consultant converting an existing web site from ColdFusion 6 to 9/10 and moving it to new servers. Standup new VM servers in a Dev/QA/UAT/Production environment. Establish new production move procedures using Perforce for code management. Install CF on multiple servers creating multiple instances/clusters per server to load balance each server. Regression test all software and fix any issues with upgrading site to CF9/10. Site initially created using CF9 then upgraded to CF10.

Configure VM servers using CF9/10 and SQL Server 2008R2. Install new web files and configure the site to use the Vurv job application management tool. The initial project was to setup a proof of concept on development servers. Stabilize the configuration and document the process.

Then advance the project through to production servers. The project is developed using Eclipse with ColdFusion builder as the development tool.
