As the office manager for Executive Pest Control, Inc., I managed to grow a small company from just the owner and myself to seven (7) full time employees.

As an IBM Manager, I was selected to work on an IBM Director driven project, which was so successful, I was promoted and given a Director Award.

Managed the front end, including greeting visitors and responding to telephone and in-person requests for information.

Effectively collected over $90,000 in arrears in two (2) weeks.

Assistant to the Chief Operating Officer

Project coordinator for all educational seminars and teleconferences; both on and off-site.

As part of the services to our members, I was the focal point for the Gas Compressor industry to compile and report monthly, quarterly and annual data, in Excel, to ensure they were in line with their company goals and measurements.

Implemented an extremely successful trade show for the Gas Compressor Industry in Galveston. Duties to include registration, marketing, vendor booth assignments and A/R.

Effectively ensured all aging account receivables were paid by contacting delinquent customers.

Office Manager

As the office manager for both companies, I initiated and implemented all human resource functions. Duties to include: interviewing, hiring, training, supervising and evaluating, payroll, commissions, increases and taxes. Implemented and wrote job descriptions for both the technicians and administration.

As the office manager, I was also responsible for effectively handling all monthly and quarterly taxes. A/R and A/P functions and invoicing were completed by me in QuickBooks.

To keep the Executive Pest Control name “in front of the customer” I implemented and wrote a quarterly newsletter for all customers. I also implement and wrote a customer service survey for all Executive Pest Control customers; this was invaluable as a company and the customers appreciated the feedback.

Initiated and created advertising to increase sales. This advertising resulted in a 6% increase in sales, per month, for Executive Pest Control, Inc.

In the purchasing of our products for the Executive Pest Control Products division, I continued to build a strong rapport with purchasing agents and sales people to increase sales for Executive Pest Control Products. As a result, vendors would only work with me because they said “then they know it will be done right”!
