H&M Security services Sep 2015 til present

Started with H&M as a security officer in charge off the CCTV on the Network Rail site at Cadder near Bishopbrigs watching all compounds but my main 28 cameras were pointed at the cable compound where there was multi-millions pounds worth of cable rolls most are copper and are 12ft high and carried 2.5 miles on each drum .After 6 weeks I was asked to become part of the 2 man team of the area supervisor where I travelled to Linlithgow, Polmont,,Boness and 13/14 different sites dropping off the next weeks rota’s,,control room instructions but most sites run themselves but I had to keep them informed of major work that was happening on their sites.

Area supervisor checking on specic demolition site throughout Glasgow .Due to the demolishing sites I have to visit all sites had lead,copper etc as one site was burning off the insulation on 16mm copper wire and fire brigade was called but the demolishing crew had their own way of disposing of said materials. All re-usable materials were weighed and put in appropriate skips .I unfortunately caught 2 guards stealing which was why I was elected the position of checking sites,doing risk assessments and calculating all hours and rota’s and make sure all sites were manned and hours,holidays etc were E-mailed to head office in Dumfries.

Worked for 65/70 hours per week as security supervisor working for News International in the Guildhall, Queen St, Glasgow taking all responsibility ensuring professional and management of an 8 man team. My duties include controlling CCTV, checking on staff, visitors and floors throughout the building, filling out D.O.L (Daily Occurrence Logs), building reports and any incidents that occur during shift. Perform a complete building check, send off the daily occurrence log, building check lists and setting out all Rota’s from month to month. The building could never be left unattended so I had to make sure all shifts were covered taking into account of all holidays, illness, visitors and building work creating all signage, instructions and risk assessments for staff to follow.
