I’m Shubham Gusain, student of Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. Presently I’m a junior and want to pursue a computer science internship in the summer which would give me a chance to learn more about the field and improve my understanding about it.

I find the Computer Science field challenging and cognitive to work in. I have been learning programming languages like C, C++, Java, Python out of my curiosity and now want to make a career in this field. I'm well versed with HTML, PHP, SQL(MySQL) and have learned all of these languages myself.

I took a Harvard Extension School course CS50 : Introduction to Computer Science which made me interested in Computer Science. It was an introductory course in Computer Science using C and PHP languages. I also learnt about different data structures like TRIE, Hash Tables, learnt about Encryption and Decryption, made a web server using C, built a Stock Trading Website, built a web app using GOOGLE MAPS API and AJAX and currently I'm working on my final project for the class. It is a really great course and I learnt a lot from it.

I don't have an in depth knowledge of PHP but I want to learn about it and i keep working on small projects to develop a better understanding. I want a chance to work under your guidance as an intern and make a difference there. I can right away start learning about the things I need to do at work if you guide me.
