Vice President of Network Systems Development
Direct the Network Systems Development and Operations group, overseeing the
activities of system and software engineers charged with producing,

A large telecommunications company serving the South Eastern United States.
Systems Development Manager (1994 - 1998)
Oversaw the daily activities of system and software engineers, facilitating
their ability to produce the company's Cellemetry Gateway system. Created
and implemented new back office support systems, managing the development
of billing, operations, control, and customer management applications.
Hired and trained new employees building a team capable of responding to
new challenges and reaching new heights of innovation.
Highlights & Achievements:
. Designed and developed the Cellemetry Gateway, the precursor to
Numerex's Digital Gateway, implementing patented technology over
Analogue Cellular networks to support M2M messaging.
. Created custom hardware and software systems using multi-tier, multi-
server architecture and standard socket-based network communications
systems credited with saving the new venture thousands of dollars in
start up funds.
. Facilitated the group's ability to enter into a joint venture project
with Numerex that resulted in the division's transfer to Numerex in
1998.
. Led team charged with developing and implementing a state of the art
wireless telephony system targeted for Cellular and PCS deployment,
using a range of technically advanced programs, including ISDN, X.25,
TCP/IP Sockets, UNIX System Five Inter-process communications, and
analog and digital wireless systems.
Technical Lead / Systems and Database Administrator (1993 - 1994)
Administered the creation of a critical billing system utilized throughout
the company to manage and update billing processes and procedures.
Supervised technical staff, performed database stress testing and
performance tuning, and served as UNIX Systems Administrator and Database
Administrator. Designed, coded, tested, and debugged the newly developed
system, ensuring the system functioned as intended.
Highlights & Achievements:
. Led high-profile billing systems development project managing all
aspects of the project from the initial brainstorming for functional
design ideas through final user acceptance and implementation.
Applied Research and Development Technician (1990 - 1993)
Designed and coded prototype applications using MS Visual C++ and various
relational database systems. Wrote BellSouth's Corporate Architecture
Standards report gathering research and lab work results and supplying
detailed analysis used to document recommendations for future IT
