LEIGHTON CONTRACTING QATAR DOHA, QATAR (Feb 2018 – APR 2019)

Position: Project Engineer

Project Details:

The project involves the design and construction of two 6 MEGA Reservoirs in Shahaniya for Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa).

The provision of detailed designs, supply of material and equipment, construction, erection, testing and commissioning of the reservoirs.

Four new reinforced concrete reservoirs with a capacity of 6 million gallons each, including all necessary pip ing, electrical, instrumentation, landscaping, sewers, etc. Including monitoring and control equipment as well as upgrading facilities available in control rooms of the two Shahaniya water stations to incorporate the new facilities

Client: Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) Contract Value US$ : 170 Million

Responsibility at Work:

External utilities, Storm Water, Foul sewer, Building Drainage, Underfloor drain all utility lines diversion & construction of structures. Laying of Asphalt Road, kerb stone all external activities are carried out inside site.

Inspection of construction assurance that it is done in full accordance with the design drawings and project specification & Coordination with the client.

Encouraging continuous improvement through the measurement and reporting of the key operational aspects to senior manager.

Monitoring and inspecting the work of sub-contractors and other third parties.

Responsible for Risk Management and taking care of safety measures.

Work Achievements:

Able to deal with adverse situations on a daily basis and insured they were completed to maximize patient safety and comfort.

HABTOOR LEIGHTON GROUP. DOHA, QATAR (Feb 2017 – Jan 2018) Project Details: Sr. Site Engineer

Project Details:

New Orbital Highway Truck Route (NOH3) project (HLG & ALJABER as joint venture) Doha, Qatar.

The project is the largest of four contracts which make up the New Orbital Highway stretching from the existing Al Mesaieed interchange to Salwa Road. 31km of new freeway, with 7 lanes in each direction, including 5 car lanes separated from 2 trucks lanes, 25km of side roads at five locations, with 4 lanes and up to 8 lanes in each direction.

Service structures including underpasses, culverts, retaining walls, pump stations, substations, drainage structures, tanks and gantries.

Client: Ashghal – Public Works Authority. Contract Value US$ : 1.7 Billion

Responsibility at Work:

Erection of QP (Qatar Petroleum) Protection Structure, Bridges, Laying of Asphalt Roads with Barriers.

Backfilling of Bridges along with MSE walls parallel to roads.

Diversion of Utility lines & construction of temporary structures as per project specification & Coordination with the client.

Work Achievements:

Introduced a new timekeeping system to improve site productivity and achieve monthly progress target.

Reduced the material rental cost by preferring the own material at site.

Finalized the structures within scheduled date.

HABTOOR LEIGHTON GROUP. JEDDAH, KSA

Position: Civil Site Engineer (June 2014 – Oct 2016)

Project Details:

Aircraft Maintenance Hanger (MRO) project (TAV, ACC & HLG as joint venture), Jeddah Saudi Arabia.

The MRO facility will service all types of modern aircraft including the latest A380 and B747 models and will be the one of the largest MRO facilities in the Middle East with The following structures Line Maintenance Hangar, Wide & Narrow body maintenance hangar, Aircraft component maintenance, Paint and Wash Hangers, Administration & Supply Chain Building.

Client - Saudia Aerospace and Engineering Industries (SAEI).

Project Cost 2.8 Billion Riyal.

Responsibility at Work:

Managing the inspection and approval of works by the consultant in accordance with the approved plans and procedure & Execute the civil works as per approved design drawings.

Effective deployment of resources and equipment as per planned programmed schedule.

Maintain checklist for all construction works & materials.
