My job duties entailed installing all model of Ciena equipment and provisioned this equipment. I also would do FOC and OTDR testing on the fiber rings that the Company First Light was upgrading.

I was working on a project for ERICSSON. As an OSP technician.

This involved fishing a fiber cable from the telco box to a SPRINT

Cabinet. Then doing fiber readings and documenting COP’s.

ADRAN TEST AND TURN UP AND PROVISSIONER.

I would provision cards for ADTRAN TA5000 and TA5200 and 2820’S.

I would then do the test and turn ups.

DC Power Lead Installer

Installed -48VDC and +24VDC primary power plants in AT&T and Verizon Cell sites. (Swapping out 2v and 12v batteries)

This activity included the following:

Disconnecting the power in the cell sites to there BDFB’s

Unstrapping the batteries (2 volt or 12 volt) in a -48 plant or a + 24 plant configuration

Remove the batteries and their support structure.

Reconfigure new Battery Mounting structure and secure it to the floor.

Install and Strap new battery plant

Run, Stitch, Lace and Tag new cables, if required.

Configure Rectifiers, Inverters and Alarms

Complete all close-out paperwork and pictures, documenting work performed at site.

Email completion package to Customer.

Worked in the state of West Virginia doing upgrades for Frontier.

Duties included:

Installing various Adtran equipment and Fujitsu equipment (i.e. Adtran 1200’s, 1248a’s, 1248’s, 5000’s, 5006’s, and Fujitsu 4100’s).

Uploaded the software and provisioned equipment into service.

Worked throughout the state of Florida performing upgrades at AT&T cell sites.

Duties included:

Civil and Site Survey activities at new sites

Performed core drilling and mounted HOFFMAN, CHARLES, and NEMA boxes.

Mount equipment, run cabling, lug and terminate cabling

Wire-wrapping, punch-down, crimping RJ 45 connectors on Cat5 cables to be terminated to a patch panel location.

All Types of labeling and/or bar coding.

Assisted in the final walk-through with Customers to sign off job completions
